This program will create a vivid soundscape where nature’s voices – both fierce and gentle -  will resonate through the works of composers.  From the sounds of a river making its way to the ocean in Smetana’s “ The Moldau”, the cheeky chatter of magpies in  Rossini’s Overture to The Thieving Magpie,  or the  fluttering of wings of wasps and  the haunting call of bats, each piece conjures up a unique echo of the wild.

A special highlight will feature Jess Lewis, a young medical student, and violinist   member of the orchestra, performing a movement from Dvorak’s “Romance for Violin and Orchestra” .  This lyrical work blends tenderness with longing, offering a moment of introspection amid the wild.

Together these works form a tapestry of sound that celebrates the untamed beauty of the world - its creatures, its landscape and its enduring influence on the human imagination.
