The Murray Codference returns to Wangaratta on Saturday 3 October 2026, bringing together Murray cod enthusiasts, industry experts and recreational fishers for a full day of learning, inspiration and fishing stories. Now in its ninth year, this free annual event has become one of Australia's premier gatherings for those passionate about the iconic Murray cod.
Headlining the 2026 program is internationally renowned fishing photojournalist, author and television presenter Al McGlashan, who will present Murray Cod: Story of an Aussie Icon. Joining him are an impressive lineup of speakers including Robbie Alexander, Brooke Davis, Lubin Pfeiffer, Shea Bloom and Alan Bonnici, covering topics from bait fishing techniques and exploring new waterways to successful cod fishing habits and urban cod fishing opportunities.
