Wangaratta Jazz & Blues GALA DINNER

Join the Board, dignitaries and community to thank so many helping hands. The Gala Dinner includes drink and canapes on arrival, and a two-course meal while we celebrate and acknowledge the great work and history of the Festival over more than three decades with live entertainment from Wilbur Wilde & Band.

Wilbur Wilde has performed and recorded with some of the biggest names in the music industry including Skyhooks, Elvis Costello, Tom Jones, Split Enz, Roy Orbison, Cold Chisel, Joe Cocker, Dire Straits, The Angels, Dragon, James Reyne and Jimmy Barnes.

He is best known for his work as a member of the house band on popular TV show “Hey Hey It’s Saturday” alongside Red Symons (Skyhooks) from 1984 to 1999.

Vocalist and saxman Wilbur Wilde has been a fixture on the Australian music scene since Ol’55 got together in Sydney in 1975. Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons occupied another four years along with tours and recording dates with, amongst others, Skyhooks, Cold Chisel, Kevin Borich and Split Enz.

More recently he has been performing with a host of great artists across the country to audiences of all kinds. His eclectic group comes to Wangaratta for this very special performance at the Wangaratta Jazz & Blues Gala Dinner on Friday 3 November.
