Our Families & Children's Program offers performances that can spark a lifelong love of the arts.

Sometimes fantastical and funny, (and always engaging), immersing your family in the magic of the performing arts, you’ll leave with sore cheeks and full hearts.

This year’s families and children’s program kicks off with one of the world’s leading youth arts companies Flying Fruit Fly Circus with TEMPO.

Literature will leap from the page to the stage with favourite books Room on the Broom and The Peasant Prince brought to life before our eyes. These shows are designed to excite and delight young minds, providing wonder and enjoyment on the faces of audiences, who may be seeing live theatre for the very first time!

A stunning adaption of How to Catch a Star will be brought to life by the Australian Chamber Orchestra string quartet in a magical tale about reaching for your dreams.

We’ll introduce young audiences to the explore Mendelssohn’s Symphony No 3 with a highly interactive concert, MSO for Kids. This popular program provides audiences with a fun filled, interactive classical adventure.

Then aimed at senior school students, SLAP. BANG. KISS. tracks three young people whose stories kickstart a series of events none of them could have anticipated, transforming them into global symbols of revolution.

The companies bringing these productions to us are well known for delivering high quality children’s shows with amazing production, sets, actors and music.
